Project Lego Crane

Allow me to introduce project lego crane.. ona bought gide this gift for his birthday.. gide and daddy will spend 10 mins each night to work on the lego before going to bed..

it took us a week to follow the instructions on how to turn multiple parts with various sizes into a complete crane.. from this project i got reminded on several things about dream and purpose from God..

1) there is a reason why God does not reveal every single detail for His plan in our lives upfront.. i learned this when the first time i opened the lego box and realize that there are so many parts involved and so many steps needed to get that dream crane up and running.. honestly speaking at that time i felt like telling gide maybe he should do it with his mommy @gillsunshine 😁😁 that many details will distract and discourage us as His dream and purpose for us is way bigger than ourselves.. it will take so many parts and so many steps to get there..

2) everybody wants to live God's dream but not everyone wants to stuck in the work and in the process.. during our project multiple times i have to involve gide actively by getting him doing some steps.. this is necessary because after a while he just keep on talking how awesome the crane is and what he is going to do with it once it is finished.. i had to concentrate and find the right parts (as many of them look alike!!) while i had to entertain gide at the same time.. else he will say to me that i never listen to him 😂😂 it will take faith, obedience, and endurance to see His promises come to fulfillment.. He will do His part but will we?..

3) it will take daily believing, obeying, enduring and all the small little things for the big things to finally come.. he who is faithful with small things will be entrusted with bigger things.. in our project i realize that building the crane starts with turning parts into small building blocks, which will be part of the bigger building blocks, which will be the crucial components for the crane.. without the small building blocks there will be no crane.. what we do in this season matters no matter how insignifcant they might look.. they are all building blocks..

Unanswered Prayer: Father's Perspective

Always a big fan of Prodigal Son's story since I could see myself as the son who left home to pursue something else that I perceive is better than being with the Father. However no matter what I have done and how bad I think of myself after making the same mistakes, it is always comforting and relieving that I always have a home to go back to. Recently when I read the story again I found one important truth that makes me even more grateful to be called His son. He was so hungry ..  That brought him to his senses..  I’m going back to my father.. When he was still a long way off, his father saw him. His heart pounding, he ran out, embraced him, and kissed him.   From the story we can see that there is a huge difference between what makes us tick and what makes God tick. What moves us is our tummy which correlates to our needs, while what moves the Father is His heart which corresponds to love. If we think about it what drives us to think, to do, and to move is our de...

It Is All About The Base

Christmas is coming!! 🎉🎉🎉our family is so excited to have our first ever christmas tree in singapore.. we had a mini tree last time but it does not count as it does not have the feel as much as a tree with proper height.. So we bought this tree last sat and tried to set it up on sun and mon.. what took it so long?!.. the biggest issue was we can't make the tree stood straight as it is supposed to.. several tries it leaned backward, another few tries it was slanted to the right.. so frustrating because of 2 things: 1) our expectation is so high as this is our first christmas tree but we could not make it right 2) we hate to dissapoint kakak gide as he kept talking about decorating the tree.. After several battle scars trying to tighten the base we realized that the issue was with the base itself.. it did not serve as firm foundation for the tree to stand straight and tall.. thus we decided to come back to the shop.. cut the drama short (the store's real opening hours differs ...

Different Perspectives on The Goodness of God

I am still waiting for my breakthrough.. I believe each one of us still having that area that we are all still waiting for that moment when God just shows up and makes things right.. It could be in our family, career, relationship, ministry, purpose, and so many other areas of our lives.. I thought at first we will be truly sincerely give thanks to God and be sure that God is indeed good when that supernatural moment comes.. This is what I believe until I received totally different perspectives recently.. First and foremost God has shown me that His goodness could not be measured by only the mega, big, major things like miracles, supernatural breakthroughs, or unexpected blessings.. It is always us who somehow put a mental barrier that only when this or that happens I could praise God for His goodness.. Only then I can give thanks to God with the right heart attitude.. Only then I would recognize how good God is.. This heart posture kills joy, peace, and hope since it creates lies that...
